Diamond Testing Makes Comparing DST Data
Easier with the P.O.R.T.A.L. “Compare Tool”
A Powerful Tool for the Producer!
Diamond Testing’s Producers Online Real-Time Analysis and Logging system (P.O.R.T.A.L.) has always been about a better way to gather, view, and store DST information for the customer. Central to this goal was the digital format used when collecting DST data. Using digital data, the system now provides customers with a more dynamic way to use this information. In celebration of the system’s 1-year anniversary, Diamond Testing has rolled out a major upgrade to the P.O.R.T.A.L. with the introduction of its new and dynamic Compare Tool for DST data. “We’re very excited to roll out the Compare Tool to our customers. This tool will allow them to use the data we gather for them in new and meaningful ways.” said Jacob McCallie, General Manager for Diamond Testing. The Compare Tool functions as an aggregator of DST data, allowing the customer to select specific sets of data from their entire library of well/test history and compare that data in an easy to read side-by-side format. Our goal, as always, is to simplify the data sharing process, reduce the use of paper (data) for analysis, and increase the overall usability of your DST data - today and in the future.
In addition to wells tested using the P.O.R.T.A.L. system, the Compare Tool also allows for customers to upload any DST information they have directly into the system. With the ability to create User Wells, customers can transform the data they have into digital datasets, allowing them to compare those tests within the P.O.R.T.A.L. to other tests or even to the well they are doing right now. “When we talk to our customers, they all had one request. Can I use my older test information?” Jacob said with a smile, “It was, by far, the most popular of the requested features to be added to the system.” The creation of User Wells within the system essentially allows the customer to create a personal database of DST information for personal analysis, regardless of when the test was ran, who the test was performed for, or even what service company performed the test. The new Compare Tool allows customers the ability to view up to 24 different datasets, from different tests, on different wells, side-by-side.

Using the Compare Tool customers will be able to quickly use data gathered from prior DSTs to plan the DST strategy for any future offsets or evaluate a current test being performed against the prior DST data. Furthermore, all tests performed by Diamond Testing using the P.O.R.T.A.L. system automatically become available within the Compare Tool. “Being a web-based software system, every upgrade we ever do to the system will also work with all prior test data, creating ever-improving new ways to look at old data”, Jacob quipped. “It’s the advantage of the digital data capture we do with the P.O.R.T.A.L., everything is always there and backwards compatible - forever!” Early feedback indicates this promises to be a powerful new tool for DST data.
By leveraging the abilities of the P.O.R.T.A.L. system and the new Compare Tool, customers are now able to put their DST information to greater work for them. Through upgrades to the P.O.R.T.A.L. and a commitment to providing customers with the most accurate, dynamic, and comprehensive data that can be provided by a testing service, Diamond Testing is maintaining its focus on putting the customer in increasing control of their DST data.
